I really enjoyed having family traditions growing up! Yes, some of them are silly, some are more religious, but all of them are spent with the ones we love. It’s nice to be able to look back on those times spent at my MawMaw and PawPaw’s and remember how all the cousins would get together for special occasions.
We are very fortunate to have our family’s close by to help pass these traditions along to Little Sweetie… and Easter is full of traditions! Kendall is getting to the right age where she really likes to do help make “stuff”. This will be our 2nd year making Easter egg cookies with Grammy (Stephan’s mom), and I think Kendall will have tons of fun decorating them!
She has already been helping Mimi (my mom) die Easter eggs. Ohhh… so much fun! Here are a few pictures:
We tried drawing on the eggs, per the instructions, but it never showed up… oh well.
Surprise! The eggs go in white and come out colored! AAhhhh!
Kendall is helping Mimi to put the eggs into the colored water and then take them out! She things she can do it herself!
Here Kendall is helping Mimi make a tie-died egg. I think this one was her favorite because she wanted it to dry right in front of her and not with the other eggs. (This is very interesting because typically she like things together … or order… with the same kind.)
More to come later with the Easter cookies, egg hunt, and family lunch. Yeah for traditions!
Thank for reading!
