‘Booty’ Ride Collects $1.4 Million

Yes! Yes! Yes! This year over 1,200 cyclists raised a combined $1.4 million dollars for the 11th annual 24 Hours of Booty event held here in Charlotte. (And a total of over $7 million since its start in 2002.)

Miss. Kendall, Mimi (my mother) and I had a great time volunteering at the “Hydration Station” and cheering the cyclists as they peddled around the 2.85 mile Booty Loop on Saturday afternoon!

Kendall enjoyed pointed at the cyclists and yelling “bike, bike, bike” as each one rounded the corner. Then she would clap/ cheer and yell “water” as they pasted us. I could tell she was having a great time! We also used this as a great learning time by trying to figure out what color each bike was, the color each cyclist’s jersey, and how many bikes were in each group.

Here are a few pictures of us at the event:

Waiting in anticipation for the next group!
